No code insurance platform
Instanda is a leading cloud native no code platform for the creation and distribution of insurance products. It allows insurers to issue new products at a fraction of the cost of older, often on-premise, systems as well as to improve the efficiency of books of business from already issued insurance products. Assembly believes it is one of the most exciting insurtech firms in the world.
The firm was founded in 2012 by Tim Hardcastle (CEO) and Derek Hill. Tim was formerly CIO of the major insurance firm, Hiscox. Instanda’s platform is remarkable for its genuine no-code capability, its range of product suitability (across both P&C and L&H), its cost efficiencies and its flexibility. The firm has live contracts in a number of countries and offices in the UK and US. It is likely to open an office in Lisbon later this year.
In 2022 the firm carried out a significant fundraising bringing Tosca Asset Management LLP on to the cap table.
Both Michael and David are Angel investors. Michael joined the Board even before he led the first Angel round of funding.
